Ruby Bridges Walk to School Day is on Friday, November 14th. Ruby Bridges Walk to School Day supports continuing the conversation around ending racism and bullying.
Interested students will meet at 1 of 3 locations at 7:00am.
Location #1: Von Bauer Way and Whitney Avenue
Location #2: Edison and Eastern Avenue
Location #3: Eastern Oak Park
Students will be given bracelets, flags, posters, and stickers when they arrive at 1 of the 3 locations. We will have a brief discussion about the significance of Ruby Bridges Walk to School Day, and then each group will begin walking back to campus at 7:15am. All students will arrive to campus around 7:25am to take a group picture and then head to breakfast.

School takes place 7:45 a.m. - 10:55 a.m.

Students across the district’s K-8, middle and high schools were invited to attend the event organized in partnership with Black Students of California United (BSCU).

San Juan Unified School District Superintendent Melissa Bassanelli recently received a medical diagnosis that requires her to take a medical leave of absence. During her absence, Chief of Staff Trent Allen will serve as the primary point of contact.
